Many people would think that after buying a smart lock, it can be unlocked by a variety of methods such as fingerprints or PIN codes. Why do we still keep the traditional unlocking method with a mechanical key?


After installing the smart door lock, many installation masters always remind users to store the mechanical key in someplace where it can be accessed anytime and not recommend leaving it at home. However, there are still users who dont take it seriously and leave it in any corner of the house. Even worst, they dont even remember that they had mechanical keys after several months later.

4. What should we do if Philips EasyKey is out of power?


Generally, if the battery level is lower than 20%, a low battery level alert will be triggered to remind us to replace the battery in time. The smart door lock still can be normally used within a week after the low battery level alert has been triggered.


If you forget to replace the battery and leave the smart lock in a power-off state, then the mechanical key will play an emergency unlocking role.
