Philips Smart Locks Makes a Powerful Appearance at Malaysia’s ARCHIDEX Expo

Jul. 29, 2025

From July 21 to July 24, the ARCHIDEX Exhibition — Asia’s leading architecture and building materials trade show — was successfully held at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC).
Philips Smart Locks took center stage with a lineup of cutting-edge new products and innovative technologies, further solidifying its presence in the Southeast Asian market and showcasing the brand’s robust capabilities.

Stepping onto the Global Stage

Amplifying Brand Presence and Innovation

As one of Asia’s most influential architectural trade events, ARCHIDEX has been a key industry platform since its inception in 2000. Serving as a gateway for international trade and investment, it connects leading architects, developers, designers, and global brands under one roof.

This year’s exhibition drew 850 exhibitors from 110 countries and regions, bringing together top players across the construction, interior design, and home innovation sectors. ARCHIDEX has become the go-to platform for global home and building brands looking to enter the Southeast Asian market — and a powerful bridge for future international partnerships.

Headlining with Innovation

Showcasing Smart Security at Its Best

At the show, Philips Smart Locks unveiled several flagship products including the DDL720MVP, 801, and 611, demonstrating its competitive edge and technological leadership in smart home security. The booth drew strong interest from international buyers and major media outlets.

Among them, the Philips 720MVP stood out with multi-modal access including palm vein recognition, fingerprint, and PIN unlocking. It also combines video doorbell, peephole camera, and smart lock in one — delivering a dual-visual experience via its local display screen and remote app connectivity, tailored for modern households.

The Philips 801, a crowd favorite, brought not only exceptional security and convenience, but also a sleek, minimalist design rooted in modern aesthetics. It had previously won both the 2025 iF Design Award and Red Dot Design Award, thanks to its bold innovation and elegant craftsmanship.

Making its debut appearance, the Philips 611 slim-handle smart lock quickly became the focal point of the booth. Designed with a 32mm ultra-slim lock body, it fits narrow doors ranging from 25mm to 70mm in thickness — ideal for Southeast Asian homes and commercial spaces. Its dual-sided fingerprint recognition (indoor and outdoor) was particularly well-suited to the architectural standards of the Malaysian and broader Southeast Asian market.

To ensure a hands-on experience, Philips created an interactive demo zone where visitors could test the products themselves, with technical specialists on-site for personalized guidance — bringing the performance and design of Philips Smart Locks to life.

Strengthening the Southeast Asia Footprint

Accelerating Global Expansion

Philips' presence at ARCHIDEX marks a strategic milestone in expanding its smart security footprint across Southeast Asia. More than just an exhibition appearance, it highlights the brand’s commitment to localized innovation and global growth.

Looking ahead, Philips Smart Locks will continue to focus on product development, market-driven innovation, and customer-centric solutions tailored to regional needs — injecting new momentum into the high-quality development of the global smart security industry.
